Pitt released its 2023-24 non-conference schedule Wednesday, highlighted by four games against high-major competition, eight home games, a spot in the inaugural year of a premier hoops challenge and a trip to see a hated rival.

Pitt’s 11-game non-conference slate has the Panthers opening the regular season on Monday, Nov. 6, with a home game against North Carolina A&T. Pitt will host Binghamton the following Friday with Monday-Friday matchups against Florida Gulf Coast and Jacksonville the week after that.

Thanksgiving will find Pitt in New York City, as the Panthers will be one of four teams participating in the 2023 NIT Season Tip-Off at the Barclays Center. Pitt will play on Wednesday, Nov. 22, and Friday, Nov. 24. Baylor, Florida and Oregon State are the other three teams in the event, and a schedule for the games will be announced later.

Pitt will close out November with a matchup against Missouri in the inaugural ACC-SEC Challenge. The Panthers and Tigers will meet at the Petersen Events Center on Tuesday, Nov. 28.

One week and one day later, Pitt will face another high-major opponent when the Panthers travel south to Morgantown to face West Virginia on Wednesday, Dec. 6.

From there, they have three more non-conference games scheduled, all at home: Canisius on Saturday, Dec. 9; South Carolina State on Saturday, Dec. 16; and Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday, Dec. 20.

When Pitt reaches ACC play, the Panthers will host Duke, North Carolina, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, N.C. State, Notre Dame, Syracuse, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest while traveling to face Duke, Louisville, Syracuse, Clemson, N.C. State, Wake Forest, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Miami and Virginia.
