The competitive schedule full of New Jersey private school powerhouses continues for Montvale (N.J.) St. Joseph's Regional and the pair of Pitt commits powering the offense - quarterback Nick Patti and tight end Matt Alaimo. A home contest against Ramsey (N.J.)'s Don Bosco Prep yielded a 16-15 victory for St. Joseph's over the Ironmen.

Alaimo hauled in six receptions for 85 yards, including the game-winning touchdown catch inside the final minute. Check out the connection from Patti to Alaimo embedded below:

Scranton (Pa.)'s junior college powerhouse, Lackawanna Community College, suffered its first loss of the season over the weekend. The Falcons fell to Garden City (N.Y.) A.S.A College in a road game, losing the contest 21-14. While individual stats are not available for Pitt offensive tackle commit Chase Brown, check out his midseason highlights below:

Jefferson Hills (Pa.) powerhouse Thomas Jefferson has been known for their suffocating defense under head coach Bill Cherpak for years and that march continues. A 34-6 victory for the Jaguars, led by Pitt defensive line commits Devin Danielson and Noah Palmer, marked the sixth consecutive game in which Thomas Jefferson's varsity defense shut out their opponents. Thomas Jefferson racked up a 34-0 lead before the Mars (Pa.) Fightin' Planets scored a garbage-time touchdown against the second string late in the fourth quarter.

Pitt defensive tackle commit Devin Danielson recorded four tackles and a sack in the comfortable victory.

It's been a strong season for Richmond (Va.)'s Benedictine School, but the Cadets dropped their second game of the year over the weekend. In a road contest at North Bethesda (Md.) Georgetown Prep, the Little Hoyas defended their home turf with a 28-9 victory over the visiting Cadets. Benedictine and Pitt linebacker commit Wendell Davis will have the chance to lick their wounds over the bye week before looking to improve their 4-2 record in an October 21st matchup against Woodberry Forest (Va.).

Friday night was a battle of the Pitt commits as defensive tackle and pass-rusher specialist David Green - a Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic Viking - faced off against future teammate Jake Kradel - an offensive line commit and star for the Butler (Pa.) Golden Tornadoes. Green and his teammates got the better of Kradel during the conference game, defeating Butler 49-14.

On the defensive side of the ball, Green recorded two tackles. He also added a lone rushing attempt for one yard on offense. Individual highlights from the game are not available for Green, but you can view his senior midseason highlight tape.

Green and his teammates got the better of Kradel during the conference game, defeating Butler 49-14.

Kradel recorded two tackles on the defensive side of the ball during the game. The offensive lineman is a renaissance man, however, and filled in various other roles for Butler. Impressively, Kradel handled punting duties twice and boomed one of his attempts 65 yards downfield. Less impressively, he attempted one pass, which resulted in an interception. Thankfully, Pitt won't ask the local standout to throw in the college ranks. A schedule as brutal as the murderer's row of private school powerhouses faced by Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha Catholic in the Washington D.C. area will inevitably yield some tough, close losses and that was the case again on Friday evening. The Stags dropped to 4-2, losing a 26-20 battle to Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga at home. Individual defensive stats are not available for Pitt defensive end commit John Morgan, but the star recorded two catches for 18 yards on the offensive side of the ball. Check out Morgan's mid-season senior highlights.

After a close, last-second loss in the previous week, Pitt wide receiver commit Cameron O'Neil and his teammates at Phenix City (Ala.) Glenwood got the monkey off their back and thoroughly thrashed Elmore (Ala.) Edgewood Academy on the road, 41-0. Neither individual stats nor highlights are available for O'Neil from the game.

Patti completed 15 of his 26 pass attempts (57.7%) for 181 yards, two interceptions, and the game-winning touchdown - a side-arm dart to Alaimo in the final minute of the game, embedded earlier in the article. On the ground, Patti picked up 35 yards rushing on 10 attempts.

The Stags dropped to 4-2, losing a 26-20 battle to Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga at home. Individual defensive stats are not available for Pitt defensive back commit Judson Tallandier from the contest.

While Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Cardinal Gibbons had to change up their usual game prep schedule this week, the scheduling anomaly did nothing to slow down their continued dominance in southern Florida. A Tuesday road game against the Miami (Fla.) Jackson Generals yielded a 30-6, improving their record to 5-0. Cardinal Gibbons has thrashed through the entirety of their schedule, romping to a combined 174-12 score over their five opponents to date. Individual highlights from the game are not available for Pitt cornerback commit Marquis Williams, but the shutdown defensive back said that not a single pass was completed on him all game.

Another week, another win for Belle Vernon (Pa.) and their star offensive tackle Blake Zubovic, a local Pitt commit. The Leopards remain unblemished through their first six games after earning a 28-21 victory over conference opponent Trinity (Pa.) Washington. Check out Zubovic's highlights from the game below.

Next week, a huge match-up in the Big Nine conference looms for Zubovic and his Leopards. Belle Vernon will take on the also-undefeated Thomas Jefferson Jaguars, a team led by two Pitt commits in Noah Palmer and Devin Danielson.
