Find out how Pitt's commits fared in their high school action across the country as the future Panthers excelled under the Friday night lights. The high school seasons across the country stretch into week ten and beyond.

Cameron Bright is having a special season. The Montgomery (Ala.) Park Crossing linebacker's team is undefeated, in large part due to the stifling defensive effort he has helped to lead. Park Crossing secured their first win of the playoffs this week, a 45-14 smackdown of Saraland (Ala.). Bright contributed a sack and a half, an additional tackle for a loss, 12 total tackles, and two quarterback hurries, leading his team or tying for the lead in all of those categories. Bright and his teammates will play Bessemer City (Ala.) on Friday night for the chance to obtain a berth in the Alabama state quarterfinals in the 6A classification.

Dontavius Butler and his teammates at Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage had a week off before beginning their campaign in the Florida state playoffs this Friday. They'll match-up against Fort Pierce (Fla.) Westwood in the first week, a game they're heavily favored to win.

After a lower-body injury kept him out of action for the Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine Richland Rams for multiple weeks, Carrigan returned to action on Friday night in time for the first round of the playoffs. Carrigan and his Pine Richland teammates secured a tight victory over Bethel Park (Pa.), by a score of 35-32, in the first round. Carrigan contributed five tackles in the victory. Pine Richland has drawn the WPIAL's top overall seed in 6A, Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic in the next game.

Kirk Christodoulou is still not participating in the American high school football season, as he resides in Australia.

It was slight work for Owen Drexel and the Montclair (N.J.) Mounties on Friday night in the Garden State. Drexel and his teammates comfortably rolled to a 42-0 victory over the Columbia (N.J.) Cougars in the final game of the regular season, bouncing back from back-to-back losses. They'll enter the first round of the New Jersey state playoffs with a match-up against the Bloomfield (N.J.) Bengals.

Is it even an Under the Lights article if we're not talking about Paris Ford's Munhall (Pa.) Steel Valley Ironmen beating some 2A Pennsylvania school by 30 or more points? This week's victim was Bethlehem Center (Pa.), coming in the first round of the playoffs by a score of 51-14. Ford scored twice, on a 47-yard reception and a 4-yard rush. He also had a nice little basketball assist, lateraling to a teammate on a punt return that led to a touchdown. Next week's playoff opponent is New Castle (Pa.) Laurel.

Unfortunately, Gabe Houy's senior season ended on Friday night in the WPIAL 5A playoff bracket, with his Upper St. Clair (Pa.) Panthers falling 31-10 to a tough McKeesport (Pa.) squad in the first round. It was McKeesport's second victory over Upper St. Clair of the season.

It was a brutal night on the road for the Findlay (Ohio) Trojans in their final game of the season. Findlay fell 42-7 to Dublin (Ohio) Jerome in the first round of the Division I playoffs, Ohio's highest classification. While the result was hardly what he hoped for, the blame for the loss can certainly be placed at Nunn's feet. The Pitt linebacker commit contributed Findlay's lone touchdown on a 19-yard jet sweep, part of 50 all-purpose yards he recorded on the evening. Nunn also added an interception on the defensive side of the football.

Oakhurst (N.J.) Ocean Township quarterback Kenny Pickett and his teammates suffered a difficult loss on Friday night after reeling off two straight big victories. The Middletown North (N.J.) Lions defeated the Spartans 32-8 in a big victory. Pickett, Pitt's lone quarterback commit, will play his final regular season game on Thursday against Robbinsville (N.J.).

I witnessed Reeves' opening-round playoff game on Friday night in person this weekend, as his Steubenville (Ohio) Big Red rolled to a 34-14 win over nearby Indian Creek (Ohio). Creek losing to Steubenville has become a nearly annual tradition in the playoffs lately. Reeves contributed two tackles for a loss, a pass deflection, and five catches for 55 yards, including this devastating stiff-arm (embedded below) in the second quarter. After resting for most of an easy victory in the final regular season game, New Castle (Pa.) Neshannock senior Tyler Sear came out going gangbusters in his first round playoff game against Serra Catholic (Pa.). Sear only caught two passes, but both went for touchdowns, helping Neshannock sail to an easy 60-21 victory. Next week's second round game will see Neshannock face off against North Catholic (Pa.) in round two, a team that won 14-7 in the first round.

I also witnessed Todd Sibley's game in person in northeast Ohio this weekend, with his Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban Knights coming out to a dominant 37-0 blowout of Warren (Ohio). Sibley started things off with a 77-yard touchdown on his first carry and Hoban's second play from scrimmage and ultimately finishes with 174 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries. Sibley's first touchdown run is embedded below, but you can view the full prospect report on his performance at this link.

Darian Street joined the list of Pitt commits whose seasons ended over the weekend, as his Bethlehem (Pa.) Liberty Hurricanes fell in the first round of the playoffs to nearby opponent Emmaus (Pa.). Street had 5 catches for 39 yards in the game and also contributed in the ground game with 2 rushes for 11 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown on the jet sweep. The final score was 23-13 in favor of Emmaus, although Liberty did an impressive job of challenging the bracket's top seed.

You can view Street's comprehensive senior highlights at this link.

In a surprising result to absolutely nobody, the Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders dominated en route to a 45-19 road win against Pembroke Pines (Fla.) Flanagan for the final regular season contest of the year. St. Thomas advances to a first round playoff game against Palm Beach Lakes (Fla.) on Friday night as they work to defend their state title. Tucker contributed five total tackles in the defensive effort for St. Thomas.

Carson Van Lynn's senior season with Worthington (Ohio) Kilbourne did not result in a playoff berth and his season has ended.

Offensive tackle Carter Warren and his Passaic County Tech (N.J.) Bulldogs ended their regular season with a comfortable 25-8 win over Paterson (N.J.) Kennedy. The win will help to springboard them to a first round playoff match-up against Hackensack (N.J.), a team they previously defeated 49-14 earlier in the season. While Warren's stats as offensive tackle are understandably difficult to track, Warren contributed four tackles and a tackle for a loss on the defensive side of the ball.
