Pitt gets a QB

Pitt added a quarterback to the class of 2015 on Friday when Malvern Prep three-star Alex Hornibrook committed to the Panthers.
Hornibrook chose Pitt over offers from Rutgers, Akron, Connecticut, Colgate, Fordham, Lafayette and Yale, and he made the decision while on campus Saturday. He worked out at Pitt's prospect camp Saturday morning and then met with the coaches that afternoon to inform them of his commitment.

Pitt offered Hornibrook a scholarship last Friday following spring evaluations. Offensive coordinator Joe Rudolph and offensive line coach Jim Hueber watched Hornibrook throw in person and recommended to head coach Paul Chryst that an offer be extended.
Hornibrook is the fifth recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2015, joining Kittanning tight end Nick Bowers, Altoona linebacker Kevin Givens, Canon-McMillan offensive lineman Alex Paulina and Hallandale (Fla.) cornerback Malik Henderson.
