The four-star offensive tackle prospect took official visits to Tennessee, Penn State and Ohio State, with Columbus being his most recent stop. Ohio State was thought to be his main finalist along with Pitt.
Bookser is rated as the No. 241 prospect in the nation, the No. 25 offensive tackle and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Pennsylvania for the class of 2014.
With Bookser on board, Pitt now has 21 commitments in the class of 2014. Bookser is the third four-star recruit to join the class, along with Bethel Park offensive lineman Mike Grimm and Niles (Ill.) Notre Dame Prep running back Chris James.
