WR Street ready to explode

Liberty (PA) wide receiver Devin Street was among the top players at Pitt's prospect camp on Saturday, and the effort paid off as he left Pittsburgh with an offer from the Panthers.
"Coach Wannstedt talked to me and talked to my family and he said that I was the talk of their coaches meeting and the talk of whole camp," Street told PantherLair.com. "He said they were very interested and they offered. He said they sent the offer through the mail, so now I'm going back up to Pittsburgh on June 23rd or 24th for an unofficial visit to see the campus."

Street is being recruited for Pitt by tight ends coach Brian Angelichio, and he said that the camp was a very positive experience.
"I loved the camp; I really did," he said. "I was talking to Coach Angelichio before and he said I should go up there. He said, 'I know what you can do; now just come and perform in front of Coach Wannstedt,' so I went up and did what I had to do.
"Coach Angelichio came to a practice during the season and said 'where did this kid come from?' We've just always talked since then, so he invited me to camp and said I need to get in front of Coach Wannstedt and that there'd probably an offer waiting for me. That inspired me."
Pitt joins Temple, Akron, Eastern Michigan, James Madison, and Stony Brook in offering Street, 6'3" 178. He entered the summer with the goal of picking up offers. To accomplish that goal, Street has hit the camp circuit, and so far it's paying off.
"I went to two camps [Pitt and Temple] and got six offers," Street told PantherLair.com. "I got five of my offers at the Pitt camp.
"That's what all the schools have talked about. West Virginia, Connecticut, Rutgers, Vanderbilt, Syracuse, they all tell me to come to their camps and perform and they'll probably have an offer waiting for me.
"I'm leaving for Boston College next Monday night, and after that I'm going to Rutgers, Connecticut, West Virginia, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Northwestern, and most likely UCF, too. I have to get down somewhere in the south.
"I'm really making my rounds."
Street is confident that he'll be able to replicate his performance at the Pitt camp, as well as the results.
"I know I can get offers and I know my ability," Street said. "I can be right up there with the top guys. I run a 4.4 40 and I have a 40-inch vertical and I believe I can break out. I just have to show what I can do.
"Schools just haven't been able to see what I do. I only had four catches for 250 yards last year, but three of those catches were for touchdowns. This year I'm planning to break out, and hopefully I'll be the talk of Rivals and all the colleges will know me."
With those kinds of aspirations, it's not surprising that Street plans to take his time in the recruiting process.
"I want to wait and see what comes," he said. "I didn't get exposure last year, and I think I can get some big offers. I think I can get Illinois or Florida State, but I'd like to stay close to home at a school like Pitt or Rutgers.
"I think I have a top three, and it's probably Pitt, UConn, and Rutgers. Those are my top choices as of now. But that's out of the schools that have shown a lot of interest; who knows what will happen after these camps?"
