Woodland Hills LB is Chrysts first commit

Paul Chryst landed his first commitment as head coach of the Pitt football team when Woodland Hills linebacker Mike Caprara committed to the Panthers Saturday night.
Caprara, 6'1" 210, is a middle linebacker who finished his career as the all-time leading tackler at Woodland Hills and has been named to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Fabulous 22 three times. As a junior in 2010, he was named to the Class AAAA all-state first team after recording 120 tackles.

Caprara was at Pitt for his official visit this weekend. He was being recruited by Dave Wannstedt's coaching staff but did not have much contact with Todd Graham's staff at Pitt. New Pitt linebackers coach Chris Haering contacted Caprara this past week and invited him to take an official visit.
Caprara is one of seven recruits visiting Pitt this weekend. With his verbal, six of the seven are committed to the Panthers. Panther-Lair.com will interview Caprara after he leaves Pitt on Sunday.
