Rippy makes Signing Day decision

Pitt has been in pursuit of Deaysean Rippy since he was a sophomore at Sto-Rox, and today the four-star linebacker is officially on board with the Panthers.
Rippy announced his decision this morning at his high school and signed a Letter of Intent to play at Pitt.

A four-star recruit who ranks as the No. 21 outside linebacker in the nation and the No. 9 prospect in the state of Pennsylvania, Rippy picked Pitt over a slew of scholarship offers. At one point he was considering offers from Auburn, Florida, Colorado, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, Penn State, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCLA, and USC.
Eventually Rippy narrowed his list to Pitt, West Virginia, and Arizona, and he ultimately chose Pitt over WVU.
