Pugh picks Pitt

Pitt's stretch of good fortune continued Monday when the Panthers landed a commitment from Aliquippa linebacker Kaezon Pugh.
Pugh chose Pitt over offers from across the country, including Akron, Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Indiana, Kent State, Kentucky, Maimi, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, Purdue, Syracuse, Temple, Toledo, Virginia and Virginia Tech. But his final decision came down to Pitt, West Virginia and Maryland.

At 6'2" and 215 pounds, Pugh projects as a linebacker at Pitt, but he is starring on both sides of the ball for Aliquippa. Through eight games this season, he has rushed for more than 700 yards and has scored 13 touchdowns.
Pugh is the 11th recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2016 and the fifth local prospect to pick the Panthers, along with Brashear corner back Therran Coleman, Upper St. Clair offensive lineman Brandon Ford and Central Catholic safety Bricen Garner and defensive tackle Rashad Wheeler.
He is also the second linebacker recruit in the class, joining Williamsburg (Va.) Lafayette's Chase Pine.
