Pitt lands Hill

Pitt's recruiting momentum continued Friday afternoon when Hubbard (Oh.) athlete George Hill committed to the Panthers.
Hill is the 17th recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2016 and the fourth this week, following South Brunswick (NJ) safety Phil Campbell and Citra (Fla.) North Marion offensive lineman Zack Williams, who both committed on Sunday, and Brooklyn (NY) Poly Prep offensive lineman Justin Morgan, who committed on Monday.

Hill was with Campbell, Williams and Morgan this past weekend when those four joined four other recruits on an official visit to Pitt.
Hill picked Pitt over offers from Michigan State, Nebraska, Wisconsin, West Virginia, Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky and Ohio State. He committed to the Buckeyes in June 2014 as Ohio State's first recruit for the class of 2016, but he reopened his recruitment in October.
After decommitting, Hill took official visits to Michigan State and Wisconsin, and the Spartans and Badgers were the top schools pursuing him along with Pitt.
A 6'0" 185-pound athlete, Hill could project on either side of the ball when he joins the Panthers, playing either cornerback or running back - or both in the mold of how the coaches used Jordan Whitehead this past season.
