Pitt lands four-star OT Johnson

Pitt's big official visit weekend produced a big score for the coaching staff as Belle Vernon offensive tackle Dorian Johnson committed while on campus.
Johnson picked Pitt over a host of other offers, but his final decision came down to Pitt, Ohio State and Virginia Tech. He is the second four-star recruit in Pitt's class along with Kent (Oh.) Roosevelt quarterback Tra'von Chapman.

Johnson, 6'6" 280, committed to Penn State in June but opted to reopen his recruitment after the NCAA announced sanctions against PSU. He said at the time that Pitt was his top school, but he wanted to explore his options.
Johnson was recruited to Pitt by offensive coordinator and Belle Vernon native Joe Rudolph. Johnson is ranked as the No. 19 offensive tackle prospect in the nation and one of the top 200 recruits overall.
With Johnson on board, Pitt now has 19 recruits committed in the class of 2013.
