Pitt lands a four-star WR

Pitt added a four-star recruit to the class of 2014 Sunday night when Sicklerville (NJ) Timber Creek receiver Adonis Jennings picked the Panthers.
Jennings announced his commitment during the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif. He chose Pitt over nearly 20 offers, including scholarships from Arkansas, Iowa, Arizona, Boston College, Clemson, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Rutgers, Syracuse, UCF, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech and Washington State.

He narrowed his list to Pitt, Iowa and Arkansas after decommitting from Rutgers in November.
At 6'3" 190, Jennings ranks as the No. 38 receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 9 recruit in the state of New Jersey. This season he caught 64 passes for 1,153 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Jennings is the fourth four-star recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2014, joining running back Chris James and offensive linemen Mike Grimm and Alex Bookser. He is also the third receiver to choose the Panthers, along with Elijah Zeise and Jaquan Davidson, although Davidson could play in the defensive backfield.
With Jennings on board, Pitt has commitments from 22 recruits in the class. 14 of the 22 are from out of state.
