Pitt lands a DB from Florida

Pitt landed its first recruit from Florida for the 2018 class Monday night when Ft. Lauderdale Cardinal Gibbons defensive back Marquis Williams picked the Panthers.

Williams, a 5’9” 165-pound cornerback prospect, committed to Pitt over a final three that also included Minnesota and Wisconsin, and he also had offers from Clemson, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi, Mississippi State, N.C. State, Penn State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Wake Forest and a host of non-P5 schools.

Williams is the second cornerback to commit to Pitt in the 2018 class, joining Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha’s Judson Tallandier. In total, the Panthers now have 13 commitments; six of them are on defense.
