Pitt gets a LB

Pitt's official visit weekend featured two uncommitted recruits among the visitors, and by Saturday afternoon, that number shrank to one, as Canton (Oh.) McKinley linebacker Jamal Davis announced via Twitter that he had committed to the Panthers.
Davis picked Pitt over offers from Minnesota, Louisville, Indiana, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Kent State, Marshall, Ohio, Toledo and Western Michigan.

At 6'2" 217, he was an all-state performer in 2013, recording 105 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles and 21 tackles for loss, which nearly broke a McKinley record.
Davis is the 23rd recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2014 and the third linebacker, joining Quintin Wirginis from Fox Chapel and James Folston Jr. from Cocoa, Fla.
Philadelphia defensive end Hez Trahan is also visiting Pitt this weekend and is expected to commit as well.
