Narduzzi lands a lineman

Pat Narduzzi added a second lineman to the class of 2016 on Friday when Akron (Oh.) Coventry's Bryce Hargrove announced that he had committed to Pitt.
Hargrove chose Pitt over offers from Rutgers, Cincinnati, Air Force, Akron, Albany, Ball State, Colgate, Cornell, Harvard, Kent State and Western Michigan. He told Panther-Lair.com last week that his top four schools were Pitt, Rutgers, Cincinnati and Akron.

"At Pitt, I like all the coaches; the coaches are super-cool," Hargrove said. "I talk to Coach (John) Peterson and Coach (Tom) Sims, and really, I talk to them the most out of any coaches from any school. I talk to them every day. Coach Sims is a good guy; I like the way that he coaches. He's serious and can joke around a little bit, too. He's a tough coach but it was good working with him at their camp."
Pitt's prospect camp was when Hargrove, 6'5" 250 pounds, earned his offer. He worked with both Sims and Peterson and took reps at defensive end, defensive tackle and offensive tackle. Hargrove added that the Pitt coaches said he could line up at any number of positions in college, and while he's listed as a defensive end in the Rivals.com database, he'll go on Pitt's recruiting board as a versatile lineman.
Hargrove is Pitt's eighth commitment in the 2016 recruiting class and the fourth prospect from Ohio to pick the Panthers. Pitt also has commitments from Lima receiver Ruben Flowers, Cincinnati Moeller quarterback Thomas MacVittie and Bedford running back Chawntez Moss. Additionally, Upper St. Clair offensive lineman Brandon Ford, Central Catholic safety Bricen Garner, Williamsburg (Va.) Lafayette linebacker Chase Pine and New Brunswick (NJ) athlete Maurice Ffrench have also committed to Pitt.
