Pitt's offensive line in 2018 will have some extra experience, as Kent State graduate transfer Stefano Millin is oficially a Panther.
Pitt announced Millin's transfer Wednesday morning, and he is a boost in an area where the Panthers really need it. Millin started 27 consecutive games at Kent State, playing right tackle and center in 2016 and then left tackle for every game last season.
By contrast, Pitt's returning roster has a total of five career starts at tackle, so the value of Millin is clear.
Millin considered two options after deciding to transfer: Pitt and Cincinnati. He took an official visit to Cincinnati in December and committed there, but a push from Pat Narduzzi led him to reconsider and take an official visit to Pitt in January.
It didn't take long after that for Millin to decide to be a Panther.
"The number-one thing is the graduate program I’m getting into," Millin told Panther-Lair.com. "I want to get my masters in public and international affairs and that program is really good.
“Really, there’s so much I like about Pitt that doesn’t have to do with football. Like the Life Skills coach, Penny (Semaia), is about as impressive as they come; I really liked him. And I really enjoyed they city of Pittsburgh, the atmosphere of it. And Pitt’s just a great school.”
