Miller makes the call for Pitt

Henry Miller knew he liked Pitt after his official visit last weekend. But the cornerback prospect from Kissimmee (Fla.) Gateway needed a few days to think before he made a decision.
He needed four days, to be exact.

"When I was there, I really liked every person I met," Miller told Panther-Lair.com after announcing his commitment on Friday. "And the coaches seemed like great mentors. I got along with the players really well, too."
Chief among the relationships Miller formed on his official visit were with the other recruits who visited. That included South Brunswick (NJ) safety Phil Campbell and Citra (Fla.) Marion offensive lineman Zack Williams, who committed on Sunday, and Brooklyn (NY) Poly Prep offensive lineman Justin Morgan, who committed on Monday.
"It was crazy. The first night we went to Dave & Buster's, and it started from there. We were all talking about going to Pitt, like every time we got on the Pitt bus and that kind of thing, we kept talking about it. I don't know, it was just crazy. When we met each other, it was like we all knew each other for awhile. It was weird. I don't know how it happened."
Miller took two other official visits - to N.C. State and Rutgers - and said that the experience at Pitt was unique.
"At Rutgers, I already knew some people there, and then at N.C. State, I knew one person there, but those were like the only people I was talking to. Then at Pitt, everybody I met, I talked to them a whole lot more."
Also on the visit was Hubbard (Oh.) cornerback George Hill, who coordinated with Miller to commit to Pitt at the same time on Friday.
"Me and George were talking this week, and me and him and Phil were texting since we met each other," Miller said. "Then Phil committed but me and George didn't want to commit that day, so we were like, 'I guess we'll have to find our own day.'"
That day ended up being Friday, and Miller and Hill added two more cornerback prospects to Pitt's recruiting class of 2016 with their commitments. At 6'3" and 195 pounds, Miller's appeal for the Pitt coaches is easy to see.
"They like my size," he said. "They told me they see me as a boundary corner and they said it's the perfect position for me. They said if I work for it I can come in and compete for a job right away.
"I play man coverage on the best receiver on the field, and that makes it easier on the rest of the defense."
Miller is the 18th recruit to commit to Pitt in the class of 2016. He chose the Panthers over N.C. State, Rutgers, Boston College, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Missouri, North Carolina, Oregon State, Purdue, Syracuse, Wake Forest, West Virginia, Wisconsin and a host of schools from non-Power 5 conferences.
