Larry Tumblin DE/LB 6-4 240 4.7, a native of Oberlin, OH is the latest player
to commit to the Panthers. Larry is a big, strong and quick player who

is a run stuffer and gets up field to harass quarterbacks. As a junior,
Tumblin recorded 128 tackles and 11 sacks. He possesses good balance, quickness
off the football and upper body strength with which to fend off would-be
blockers. A versatile player who has lined up at both inside and outside
linebacker as well as at defensive end. He was rewarded for his stellar
play last season by being chosen to the Division V All-Ohio team. When
asked why he chose the University of Pittsburgh, Larry responded by saying,
"I committed to Pitt because of the education." Tumblin selected the Panthers
over interest from Ohio State, Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Central Michigan
and Bowling Green.
