First article on Rivals: Tucker was first mentioned on the Rivals network in June of 2016, the summer before his senior year of high school and fairly well along in his recruiting process. Pitt and Colorado had emerged as the top two schools for the Florida linebacker.

Tucker commits to Pitt: Shortly after a one-day visit to Pitt, Tucker committed to the Panthers over Colorado, Colorado State, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, and others on June 28th. Tucker was the ninth commitment of the 2017 class for Pitt.

In his words: “It was just down to my final two and Pitt really just caught my eye with their amazing program and their academic structure. It was truly a perfect choice to begin my life as a student-athlete,” Tucker said. Read his comments on his commitment here.

Tucker's impact: Read a full breakdown of what Tucker is expected to bring to the table at this link. "Tucker is a 6-foot-3, 205-pound athlete who is ultimately expected to fill the STAR linebacker role for Pitt, a spot that is well-suited to his current skill set. At his size and with his athleticism (Tucker has reportedly run a 40-yard dash as quickly a 4.50 and posted a 39-inch vertical jump), Tucker will be expected to be capable of holding the point of attack and maintaining leverage in the run game, while also being asked to be fluid and rangy in pass coverage." Junior highlights from Tucker (senior highlights are not available):

On his senior season: “This season was pretty crazy,” Tucker, who committed to Pitt over the summer, told Panther-Lair.com. “With all the wins and losses we had and adjusting to some new coaches, it was crazy but it turned out to be one of the best experiences I’ve ever had."

On his official visit: ““I felt like Pitt was perfect for me,” Tucker told Panther-Lair.com... "We went over all the stuff they had to offer with the classes and the academic and athletic centers - mostly stuff I had seen before. Really, the visit was mostly about meeting recruits."
