Graham gets his first commitment

The first official visit of the Todd Graham era at Pitt has yielded the first commitment of the era, as Gladewater (Tex.) running back Corey Davis committed to the Panthers on Saturday.
"I committed today to be a Panther," Davis told PantherLair.com via text message Saturday afternoon.

Davis, 5'11" 180, had been recruited by Graham at Tulsa, and the staff stayed in contact with Davis after the move to Pittsburgh.
Earlier this week, Davis told PantherLair.com that he expected to make a commitment to Pitt while on his official visit.
"I'm going to go up there this weekend and make my commitment," he said. "I think Pittsburgh can be the home for me and I'm ready to go. Let's get it going."
In his senior season at Gladewater, Davis put in an impressive performance despite playing with a young offensive line. On a team that won just three games out of ten, Davis rushed for 1,750 yards and 28 touchdowns.
Davis is one of 12 recruits taking official visits to Pitt this weekend.
