Steel Valley (Pa.) was an absolute monster team last season, mercy-ruling every opponent en route to an undefeated state championship and 2019 linebacker Todd Hill was a big piece of that championship defense. Hill is nasty as a tackler and always gets downhill with bad intentions, but his physical limitations are somewhat concerning. Hill is likely shorter and heavier than his listed size, although you wouldn't guess it with how quickly he plays. I just question how close to his ceiling Hill may be at this stage, although he's certainly an aggressive and impressive high school player.

The nephew of former All-American wide receiver and current Penn State assistant coach who shares his name, Terry "Tank" Smith is a standout running back at Penn Hills and a beast physically. I don't think Smith has pull-away speed at the college level, but he does have great vision and knows how to put his foot in the ground and get upfield. Smith plays with a low center of gravity, follows his blockers well (despite line play problems at Penn Hills), and is incredibly difficult to bring down when he gets loose.

The other half of Gateway's impressive duo (alongside Courtney Jackson, 2019 wide receiver), Jeremiah Josephs is more likely to fit in on the defensive side of the football than his teammate Jackson at the next level. Josephs is quick and has a knack for putting himself around the football and can return it down the field quickly when he gets it in his hands.

Upper St. Clair (Pa.) produced impressive offensive tackle Gabe Houy in the 2017 class and they'll look to follow that up with hard-hitting 2019 safety Colin McLinden, a rising junior. McLinden is among the most impressive strikers in this class in the WPIAL, a player who can truly deliver a blow when he's coming downhill. His coverage skills in space are not necessarily as elite as some of his peers at the position in his class, but he'll have time to improve those.

West Mifflin (Pa.) prospect Parrish Parker is among the most technically skilled cover cornerback in the WPIAL in the 2019 class, an impressive prospect who can blanket receivers. Parker also shows off a nose for the football that netted him an impressive amount of forced turnovers during his sophomore season. He's more physically put together than most of his peers in the 2019 cornerback crop locally and that will serve him well in press coverage and run support.
