Rivals Future 150 Camp break down

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.- The inaugural Rivals Future 150 Camp hit the ground running this past weekend with five different states represented by campers. Leading the pack was wing scorer Rion Brown, who is poised for a big July.

Rion Brown- The 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard (2010-Worldwide Renegades) was the best overall player at the camp. His overall athleticism was on display as he scored from all three levels on the floor. The high flyer put on a show as he dunked the ball with authority. Browns quickness allowed him to get to rack and finish with ease.

LeAntwan Luckett- The 6-foot-5, 185-pound shooting guard (2011-Mississippi Ballerz) is the total package. He has a very quick first step and elite leaping ability as he attacks the basket. Luckett can also make his fair share of three-point field goals as well.

Cedrick McAfee- The 6-foot-2, 175-pound combo guard (2011-Memphis Select) can do it all. His ability to handle the rock and rack up assists in bunches is his greatest asset. McAfee has great quickness which allows him to break down defenders and knock the midrange jumper with regularity. He holds offers from Memphis, Missouri, Alabama and Ole Miss.

Jershon Cobb- (2010-Atlanta Express) Cobb is a long rangy combo guard that has an impressive array of talents. His ability to handle the ball with the best of them and score from a variety of spots on the court has the attention of college coaches. Cobb scored well over 40 points in one of the most competitive games of the camp. He has offers from Boston College, Auburn and Georgia.

Robert Brown- (2011- Showtime Ballers) The 6-foot-4 shooting guard is an impressive overall player. He has a great mid range game and can attack the basket off a nifty hesitation move. A bouncy athlete, Brown finishes with authority. He recently picked up a Virginia Tech offer and is receiving interest from VCU, Florida, Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame and Stetson.

Van Green- The 6-foot-3, 175-pound shooting guard (2010-Birmingham Bearcats) is an athletic slasher. His ability to play both guard position make him a real gem. Green is an unknown name on the AAU circuit nationally and has solid mid-major capabilities.

Sherman Smith- The 5-foot-11, 160 pound point guard (2010 Birmingham Ice) has a great feel for the game. Two of his greatest assets are his court vision and on the ball defense.

Josh Swann- The 6-foot-2, 170-pound point guard (2011- Marietta Heat) is a high major prospect. Along with his feel for the game, Swann's outside shooting ability and quickness with the ball make him difficult to defend. Swann is receiving early interest from Tennessee, Stanford, LSU, Florida, Clemson and Tennessee Tech.

Michael Gilmore- The5-foot-11, 165-pound point guard (2012 Birmingham Storm) has the look of a future DI player. His quickness and strength allow him to guard the ball the full length of the court. An intelligent player, Gilmore has a knack for setting up his teammates with quality shots.

Matt Margavios- A 6-foot-6, 185-pound small forward (2010 Metro Express), Margavios has the ability to play on the perimeter as well as in the post. Probably the biggest sleeper in the entire camp, Margavious shoots the three-point ball well for a long rangy player.

Terrance Smith- At 6-foot-4, 170-pounds (2010-Alabama Challenge), Smith is a rangy point guard. He sees the floor extremely well and has the ability to guard multiple positions. He is a solid mid major prospect.

DeMarc Richardson- The 6-foot-2, 170 pound combo guard (2012-Memphis Select) has the ability to breakdown defenders with his quickness. Richardson is more of a finisher than a facilitator at this point in his career.
