Day commits; could another lineman be on the way?
Jackson Day pledged to the Broncos, and there may be a three-star commitment coming soon.Western Michigan's class of 2013 is beginning to fill out with linemen, as today Mishawaka, Ind. product
Day, a 6-foot-4, 280 pound guard, chose WMU over an offer from Eastern Michigan and gives Bill Cubit and his staff seven commitments, of which four are offensive linemen. Other interest came from Ball State, Bowling Green, Toledo and Western Kentucky. He becomes the third commitment in four days for a rapidly growing 2013 class.
Meanwhile, a decision is expected to be forthcoming for three-star Indianapolis offensive guard prospect Dwayne Brown either today or tomorrow. Brown will decide between offers from Ball State and WMU. Earlier this week, one of Brown's teammates from Warren Central High School, Anthony Winbush, committed to Ball State, which may give the Cardinals and edge. However, Brown has had heavy interest in WMU since the spring, and has indicated that it is a very difficult decision.
It has been reported on Twitter that Brown was on Ball State's campus today, but he has not given a clear indication of leaning in the Cardinals' direction.
Brown, rated a 5.5 by Rivals.com, has drawn interest from a number of BCS schools including Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Iowa, Michigan State, and Penn State.
