Black Knights land NJ Wide Receiver

The Black Knights picked up some additional help on offense on Wednesday with a commitment from New Jersey athlete E-Jay Tucker. The 6-foot-0, 205-pounder made his pledge to Coach Stan Brock the day before Thanksgiving.

"I committed on Wednesday and I spoke to Coach John Misciagna and then to Coach Brock," says Tucker, who is being recruited by Army as a wide receiver. "Coach Brock was very excited and said happy he was that I was becoming a Black Knight."

Tucker, who attended Army's summer football camp, was offered the day of the camp by the Black Knights' staff after a solid showing. "Coach Brock was surprised at what I could do and they offered me that day," confirms Tucker, who also attended summer camps at Temple and Hofstra.

The Marlboro (NJ) Marlboro High School product, who has game breaking ability, was not able to attend any of the Army home games this season, due to conflicts with his own high school schedule. However, he will be in attendance at the Army-Navy game in December.

As a junior, Tucker pulled in 25 receptions for 358 yards, along with two touchdowns. His senior year he was moved to running back, and according to the Army commit, he rushed for approximately 580 yards and 5 touchdowns even though Tucker missed 1 games this season due to a high ankle sprain.

What factored into your commitment to Army? "I went to the summer football camp and I never seen a place like that before," declares Tucker. "Every coach I spoke to made me feel like I was at home and that I belong there. Also, serving my country is a bonus… I just can't wait to get there."

For Tucker, whose first stop will be the USMAPS. is scheduled for an official visit to Army the weekend of December 12th. congratulates E-Jay Tucker on his commitment to play for the Army Black Knights and join the Long Gray Line.
