Tank favors the Dawgs early
Tank Sessions is one of those athletes that jumps out to you immediately. His size alone will draw attention from college coaches and then when he combines that with his athleticism, he has a chance to be special on the next level. Sessions is only a junior, but he is hearing from many schools not just in football, but basketball too.
"Georgia, Georgia Tech, Clemson, Florida State, LSU, South Carolina, and North Carolina are sending me a lot of mail," said Sessions. "I am hearing from a lot of schools right now."
At 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, Sessions is hard to miss on the football field. He has been clocked at 4.79 seconds in the 40 yard dash and he has a vertical leap of over 35 inches with arms that hang down near his knees.
The junior out of Atlanta (GA) Columbia is very athletic and he was first noticed a year ago by his early leader.
"Georgia was down at Griffin (where Sessions was in 2007 before transferring to Columbia) recruiting Toby Jackson (2008 UGA signee now at Hargrave) and that is where they saw me first. They have been recruiting me since then."
"I visited Georgia over the summer and during the season. I have talked to Coach [Rodney] Garner a few times, and they are my top school. It is very friendly up at Georgia, it is real nice on their campus, and that is the school I am leaning to right now."
Mark Richt is not the only UGA coach recruiting Sessions. Hoops Head Coach Dennis Felton is too. A lot of the same schools recruiting Sessions for football like him in basketball as well.
