Shakoor a standout at Auburn camp

Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson CB Ahmed Shakoor doesn't like to lose against the receivers in 1-on-1s. He's got 20 push-ups to do every time he does.

Saturday at Auburn's camp, the 5-foot-11, 190-pounder's arms weren't that tired, at least not from doing push-ups.

"It went really good. I was mad if they even caught a ball," said Shakoor.

He may not have won all of his 1-on-1 battles. Nobody did. But he did enough to be one of the top cover guys in camp and grab the defensive coordinator's attention while doing it.

"I talked to coach Will Muschamp and (AU graduate assistant and former NFL DB) Travaris Robinson," said Shakoor. "The way coach Muschamp talked about me, he acted like he really liked me. He was saying that he loved me. I couldn't get that out of my mind. I was just saying, 'Thank you Coach…. thank you Coach'."
