Herd lands No. 4

Sometimes when you're hot, you 're hot and the Herd is just that. After landing two commitments last weekend, Marshall rang the bell with commitment No. 4 this morning. Thundering Herd head coach Mark Snyder and staff are not resting on the laurels of their 2007 recruiting success. They have hit the recruiting trail hard the results are showing. Who is the newest Marshall commitment?

Having landed verbal pledges from Stone Mountain (Ga.) Stephenson High School teammates, Cory McCutchen and Destin Route, the Marshall added another from the talent-rich Peach State school.

Six-foot, 190-pound cornerback Ahmed Shakoor is the latest player to commit to the Herd.

Shakoor, who had verbally committed to Louisville two weeks ago, reopened his commitment this week.
