Schenley's DeJuan Blair is the MVP

Early in his career Schenley's DeJuan Blair (6' 7" 260) suffered two knee injuries which required surgery. A huge senior season has put the basketball world on notice that he has recovered and ready to take on the best in the Big East Conference.

Blair recently played with Team USA in a tournament in France. Blair lead Team USA to a 5-0 record. In the championship game against Russia Blair scored 25 points and pulled down 16 rebounds. He was named the MVP in the championship game.

In addition to DeJuan Blair, Team USA Featured Pitt commit Bradley Wanamaker. Blair said, "We had a number of other players that will be playing in the Big East, Rick Jackson and Antonio Jardine will be going to Syracuse. Justin Burrell will be going to St. John's. We also beat teams from France, the Netherlands and Morocco. The Russians were definitely the best team we faced."

We asked Blair if Wanamaker knows he is supposed top get the ball inside to him and he laughed and said, "Brad can get the ball into the post. He played the No. 2 guard in this event. He can bring the D. He is a beast. We are going to be very good this year."

Blair went on to say, "Brad and I were roommates in France and we will be roommates at Pitt. He is a little quiet but a really good guy."
