Busy winter for Matas

Former Illinois offensive line coach Ed Warriner's departure to Kansas to become the Jayhawks new offensive coordinator left many Illinois fans wondering not only who the new offensive line coach would be, but what becomes of his recruits. Warriner led the recruiting charge for the Illini in Northeast Ohio, and a number of top prospects gave him a verbal commitment.

One of those players, 6-foot-5, 275-pound Mentor (Ohio) defensive tackle Steve Matas, doesn't plan on changing his commitment.
