Cornell makes his decision

Six-foot-five, 290-pound Quincy (Ill.) Notre Dame offensive tackle Jack Cornell Jr. earlier this week said he would decide between Illinois and Nebraska. Tuesday, Cornell made his college decision. Find out more in this recruiting update from the Orange&Blue News. We caught up with Cornell after wrestling practice Tuesday afternoon.

Cornell is a two-time all-state selection. He verballed to Michigan State last summer but after John L. Smith and his staff were fired, re-opened his recruitment in November. He officially visited Illinois December 8. Illini assistants Tom Sims and Ed Warinner were the primary recruiters for Cornell.
