Do Vols Still Lead for Four-Star DT?

With space in Tennessee's 2007 Signing Class beginning to look like it will be at a premium, some prospects who appear to be sitting on the fence might want to move to secure a spot. One player who the staff would like to make room for is Louisiana defensive tackle Rolando Melancon. The four-star prospect has called the Vols his leader for an extended period of time now, and recent rumors have suggested that he may be on the verge of making a commitment.

Is that the case? Is Melancon (6-foot-2, 260 pounds, 4.78 40-yard dash) ready to end the suspense, and if so, are the Vols in line to pick up a commitment at a position where coaches can never have enough capable bodies?
