Tigers continue tradition
You'd have to go back quite a ways to find a time when the LSU Tigers weren't heavily recruiting the state of Texas like an extended backyard. That tradition is continuing as the 2007 class comes together with an obvious Lone Star flavor.
Along with in-state recruiting, the Tigers have always made the Lone Star state a big priority. So it's not surprising to see the 2007 commitment list with only one player not from either Louisiana or Texas. Getting a big time Texas quarterback like Jarrett Lee on board certainly doesn't hurt momentum and could lead to even bigger Texas pickups as things continue on.
Just a few blue-chip targets that LSU looks good for across the state line includes five-star wide receiver Terrance Toliver, four-star offensive tackle Jarvis Jones, four-star pass-catcher Dez Bryant, along with four-star athlete Ron Brooks.
Toliver, one of the nation's most talked about prospects, certainly has been high on LSU from virtually the beginning.
