Fennerty waiting on the Cougs?
Olympia tight end prospect Michael Fennerty already has one offer on the table. Could more offers be on the way, and could the 6-foot-4, 210-pounder?
Fennerty has played mostly wideout for the Bears, who advanced to the 4A playoffs a season ago. His first offer came from Missouri, after Bruce Walker, their tight ends and line coach, came to a combine in Sumner and came away impressed with Fennerty. Walker played his college ball at Central Washington and is a native of the Northwest.
Fennerty said, "He grew up in Washington and played and coached here and he also played tight end. He made it an important point that he really wants me there not just because he thinks I have great potential but also because he thinks it would be awesome to coach a Washington tight end when he also was one."
