Parker slowing things down

There was a time when Rockville, Md., Good Counsel tight end/defensive end Danny Parker wanted to make an early decision and end the recruiting process early.

With some unofficial visits behind him and still some uncertainty as to which schools will ultimately offer scholarships, the three star prospect is now singing a different tune.

"My last visits were to North Carolina, Duke, and NC State. Thhat was back in late June or early July and those were my last visits. I probably won't take any more visits until this fall when I schedule some official visits...Early on I wanted to make a quick decision but now I just want to focus on my season and get ready for two-a-days. I don't want to jump into anything before I'm ready."

The 6-4, 228 pound Parker is an attractice prospect to many programs because of his ability to make plays with the football. Duke would love to have him on the field at Wallace Wade Stadium as either a tight end or defensive end.
