Suburban Maryland studs will likely hook up at WVU

This time a year from now, West Virginia's football program likely will be the home of two of the best prospects at their respective positions in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, D.C.

Three-star tailback Terence Kerns of Frederick is all but signed by the Mountaineers, while another former "3," linebacker Steven Weedon, hopes to be on board with him in the summer of 2007.

Kerns, 6-1, 215, will garner strong consideration as a Washington Post All-Met by the end of the fall. Weedon already earned that designation after the 2004 high-school season.

Weedon, a sophomore strong side backer at Valley Forge (Pa.) Junior College, is heading into his second season at the two-year school.
