Saturday Nike Camp Notebook

Our Saturday coverage at the Nike Camp began with the morning 3-on-3 play in
the IUPUI gymnasium. Today marked the last day of this competition and

groups (Big Ten, ACC, And Pac-10). The championship game of the first "Big
Ten" included one team with a pair of Indiana targets. A squad with
6-foot-8 Rob Hummel[db] and 7-foot-1 [db]Solomon Alabi teamed here with
guards Terrel McKensie (NY) and Ronald Stewart (OH) took on Martez Walker (AL),
Dominique Jones (FL) and Papa Dia (NY). Led by the strong play of the
6-foot-9 Dia, the latter group raced out to a double digit lead. But some
late 3-point shooting heroics by Hummel brought his team back and only a double
team on the Valpo forward on the last possession kept him away from a good look
to win the game on the last possession. Dia blocked his desperation trey
to give his team a two point win.
