Griffin knows the drill

Oakland, Calif., McClymonds tailback Willie Griffin is no stranger to the recruiting scene.


After all, considering the numerous teammates Griffin has played alongside in the past who have went on to Division I schools, Northern California's arguably top ball carrier this upcoming season knows exactly how the game works.


With his senior season just months away, Griffin has seen a handful of new big name schools recently enter the picture in his recruiting, including a traditional power from the Big Ten.


"Michigan was at my school the other day," Griffin said. "Michigan has really always stood out to me. I used to watch them on TV because they had the same colors as Cal. Then when (running back) Chris Perry was there, I really started liking how they he ran and how they used him."
