McNeal keeping his options open
A starter since freshman year for Madison High School, Shawnbrey McNeal has certainly developed into one of the more promising tailbacks of the class of 2007 as he already holds scholarship offers from the likes of Baylor, Florida, Kansas State, Ole Miss, and Oklahoma State.
It is evident to see why several BCS conference schools have already offered the 5-foot-9, 185-pounder as his stats his junior year speak for themselves.
"I had like 1556 rushing yards with 22 touchdowns. I can't remember what I had receiving. I'd say my speed, vision, and just a general knowledge for the game (are my best assets)," he said.
McNeal claimed that his best game was late in the season and was one in which he overcame an injury.
"In the first round of the playoffs against Van Alstyne I had a bruised thigh and I had over 100 yards rushing that game," he said.
As far as favorites go, does McNeal have an early leader?
"No sir. I haven't even narrowed it down yet. I'm basically looking at everyone and everyone is pretty much recruiting me the same," he said.
