Stults eyes Alabama all-purpose record
Mitch Stults has accumulated 9,060 all-purpose yards and 109 touchdowns during his career at Hamilton (Ala.) High School.
And he still has a year to go.
The rising senior has done it all for the Aggies during his three years as the starting signal caller.
"I took over at quarterback in ninth grade and now I'm around 2,500 yards away from breaking the all-purpose yards record for the state of Alabama so that's my goal for this year," Stults said.
For his career, Stults has completed 339 of 543 passing (62-percent) for 6,048 yards and 65 touchdowns. He has also rushed 411 times for 2,285 yards and 38 more scores.
Stults is also a standout on the defensive side of the ball as well recording 137 tackles (80 solo, 57 assists), 19 pass breakups, nine interceptions, four fumble recoveries and five defensive touchdowns.
Those gaudy statistics have caught the eye of several schools at the next level. Stults has received letters from Missouri, Mississippi State, Arkansas State and Auburn has stopped by his school.
Over the weekend, Stults attended his first junior day event at Mississippi State.
