FOLLOWING THE FUTURE

MARQUIS ANDERSON - DT 6'3 - 260, Cibolo (Texas) Steele

Anderson wasn't asked to do a lot against Kerrville Tivy's pass-happy offense and Steel fell 54-45 in a classic shootout.

Anderson is one of several Sooner commits who flies under the radar by and large but is playing for one of Texas' most talented teams and is a focal point of Oklahoma's class.
Next: Steele (1-2) travels to San Antonio Southwest.

BRANDON CARTER - ATH 5'11 - 161, Euless (Texas) Trinity

Another week, another huge game for Carter. This time in a 50-3 win over Richland Carter had three catches for 86-yards and a 68-yard score along with thwo touchdown catches (67, 13).

Carter has made his name at Trinity as a receiver but the Sooners have eyed him as a future cornerback and he showed a capacity to learn at Oklahoma's summer camp.
Next: Trinity (3-0) hosts Irving.
