Lansing OL gets visit from Spartan Coach

One of the top prospects in Mid-Michigan for the class of 2011 is offensive lineman Ramadan Ahmeti of Lansing Waverly High School. The 6-foot-5, 280-pound prospect recently picked up his first scholarship offer. SpartanMag.com caught up with Ahmeti and got the latest information on his recruitment.

Ahmeti was recently offered a full scholarship by Head Coach Dan Enos of Central Michigan University. SpartanMag.com asked Ahmeti about the teams that are showing him the most recruiting attention at this point.

I am hearing from Central Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Toledo, Syracuse, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois and Western Michigan. I have been to Central Michigan, Western Michigan and Michigan State this spring."
Have you spoken with the Spartan staff recently and which Coach do you have contact with?
Yes, Coach Gill is supposed to come to my school tomorrow, Ahmeti stated. I also talked with Coach Roushar when I was at their junior day. Coach Roushar said he really likes my athleticism and is looking forward to working with me at camp."

What camps will you be hitting this summer and do you have an idea about when you would like to make your college choice?

I hope to go to Michigan State, Central Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Toledo, Missouri, maybe a few more. I would like o make my decision before my senior year. It feels great to get all of this attention, but it can be a stress as well. I really want to be able to focus on my team and winning games."

Michigan State is having an OL/DL Big Man Camp in June. Spartanmag.com will be sure to follow-up with Ahmeti afterwards. A str4ong performance there could put thus local prospect on the fast track to a Spartan scholarship offer.
