Collins to commit soon?
Conredge Collins has officially narrowed his list down to four schools and it appears that is genuinely a three-horse race at this point. He had hoped to have a decision at this point, but will not be able to visit his top three until the final month of the recruiting season. Who are the big three that Collins is looking at and is there a leader?MIAMI - Miami (Fla.) Monsignor Pace running back
"Right now my top three are Florida State, Ohio State and Florida," Collins said. "NC State is in there too, I like them a lot, but the other three are ahead of them. Florida State is probably just slightly ahead of the other schools at this point, but it's really pretty close so anything can happen still really. Miami is pretty much out of it at this point. They want me as a fullback and I want to play running back."
The 5-foot-11, 220 pounds runs the 40-yard dash in 4.53 seconds, runs the shuttle in 4.43 seconds and does 16 reps on the bench press. He has official visits set up to Florida State on January 7, Ohio State for January 14 and Florida for January 28.
"There is a chance that I could commit on one of my official visits if I go and know that is the right place for me," Collins said. "At this point that probably won't happen because my plan is to take all of the visits before I make a decision, but I will say that it is a possibility. This week has really helped me because it's a lot like things will be once I get to college with the speed of the game and the size of the players."
Collins is ranked as the No. 2 fullback in the country and the No. 11 player in the state of Florida by Rivals.com.
