Pitt adds a third defensive end to the class of 2011

Green, 6'4" 220, picked Pitt over offers from Cincinnati, Michigan, Michigan State, Syracuse, Texas Tech, West Virginia, Illinois, Louisville, and Purdue. He previously told Rivals.com that his top four were Pitt, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, and Illinois.
With Green on board, Pitt has commitments from three defensive ends, and all three committed this week. Lakewood (Oh.) St. Edward end Deonte Gibson committed on Tuesday, while Max Issaka, from Woodbridge (NJ) also pulled the trigger on Friday.
Green is also the third Clairton standout to pick Pitt in the last four classes, joining 2008 linebacker Manny Williams and 2010 receiver Kevin Weatherspoon.
Green is the 15th prospect to commit to Pitt in the class of 2011 and the sixth from the state of Pennsylvania. The Panthers also have commitments from Dallastown linebacker Ben Kline, Bishop McDevitt running back Jameel Poteat, Central Dauphin offensive lineman Artie Rowell, Woodland Hills cornerback Lafayette Pitts, and Pottsgrove defensive back Terrell Chestnut.
From New Jersey, Pitt has commitments from Issaka, Don Bosco quarterback Gary Nova, Timber Creek linebacker Quinton Alston, Winslow Township receiver Bill Belton, and Paramus Catholic defensive tackle Marquise Wright
Pitt has two commitments from Ohio in Gibson and Massillon Washington receiver Justin Olack, and one commitment from Maryland in DeMatha tight end Sam Collura.
Additionally, South Daytona (Fla.) Warner Christian Academy running back Breon Allen has committed to Pitt, but his commitment is pending an official visit this fall.
