The University of Pittsburgh men's basketball staff received some much-needed good news last week when Philadelphia scoring guard John Johnson gave the staff his verbal commitment. After the staff identified Johnson as a priority in the class of 2011, things moved quickly. Johnson took an unofficial visit to Pitt in early September, and from there, it was only a matter of time.
