A year ago Ed Tinker was one of the top 100 receiver prospects in the country and among the top 30 in Pennsylvania as a recruit out of Pittsburgh (PA) Brashear. But Tinker spent the fall at North Carolina Tech Prep in Charlotte, N.C., and now he's back on the market.

Tinker, 6'2" 190, has been in touch with Pitt since returning to his hometown after finishing up at N.C. Tech, and he took an official visit with the Panthers over the weekend.

"Everything went good," Tinker said. "They gave me a tour and showed me the academic classes and the tutors and all of that stuff. And then the receivers coach was showing me the formations and how they run the offense and the passes they throw and the routes they run.

"I had fun down there. It was a good time."
