Brown hoping to earn early playing time
Greg Brown took official visits to Arkansas, Arizona and Kansas. In the end, the 5-foot-11, 164-pound cornerback from Cedar Hill (TX) High School ultimately decided to give the nod to Mark Mangino and the Jayhawks. Why did Brown decide to spend the next four to five years in Lawrence? He spoke to Jayhawk Slant about his decision shortly after signing with the Jayhawks on Wednesday morning.
For Greg Brown, the No. 36 ranked cornerback in the class of 2008, the decision making process didn't come as easy as it did for some of his future teammates. Aside from Kansas, the three-star prospect had received scholarship offers from Kansas State, Virginia, Tulsa, Arizona and Arkansas.
