During the last Syracuse summer camp the coaches used it as one of the last chances to evaluate a prospect and offer them a scholarship. One of those players they evaluated was Ronald Hobby and as soon as camp was over he was offered a scholarship by Syracuse.

Hobby, 5-foot-10, 170 pounds did not have the junior season he had hoped because it was interrupted when he injured his hand and missed four games.
