Cruz rehabs, visits schools

WVSports.com This spring while rehabilitating from knee surgery, tight end Mike Cruz certainly didn't just sit around. After a verbal commit to Pitt, the 6-foot-4, 270-pound two-way end decided he would take several visits. The Panthers certainly remain interested, as members of their staff were at the Joe Butler Metro Index Camp at the Steelers practice facility on Monday. So was lead bird-dog Tony Gibson of West Virginia. Pitt and WVU are two of the schools Cruz, of Johnstown (Pa.) Bishop McCort, has visited unofficially. Both have offered along with Florida State, Clemson, Rutgers, Nebraska and others.
