Erie McDowell offensive lineman Dan Matha (6' 6" 311) set some individual marks of his own this past season, being a key contributor in the Trojans' first season as a member of the WPIAL. The Trojans knocked off the likes of Butler and Seneca Valley in their first year as a member of the Northern Five Conference. Matha was an all-conference selection, becoming officially the first Erie McDowell player to earn all-conference honors in the WPIAL.

Matha chose Pitt over offers from West Virginia, Maryland, Virginia, Michigan State and Connecticut.
