The Colorado Buffaloes in their heyday often mined the gridiron's of California football. New coach Dan Hawkins took a page from the program's past and landed one the Golden State's top offensive line prospects.

Three-star offensive Garth Gerhart (6-2, 299, 5.2) from Norco, Calif., has thrown his hat into the ring with the Colorado Buffaloes.

"I love the coaches, I love the campus and I love the state," Gerhart said. "Coach Hawk (Dan Hawkins) is coming and think he's going to turn the program around and win a national championship.
